The Circling Sun ensemble performs an arresting and curious mix of original and obscure arrangements, drawing on influences as diverse as Alice Coltrane, Yusef Lateef, Malachi Thompson, Mulatu Astatke, Bobby Hutcherson, & Orlando Julius. Members of Avantdale Bowling Club, Yoko-Zuna, Ladi 6, Troy Kingi and Carnivorous Plant Society, join forces in this afro spiritual psych jazz ensemble.
